Set it up in Claude or ChatGPT in about five minutes. Tick each step as you go; this page remembers where you got to on this device.

Your personal connector link is on the welcome page you saw straight after signing up at axomai.ai. Can't find it? Email fabian@axomaistudio.com from the address you signed up with.
Before you start
- You need a Claude or ChatGPT account. Use whichever you already use; the skills are the same in both.
- Claude: works on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans (Free allows one custom connector). Set it up at claude.ai or in the desktop app; it then works in the Claude phone app too.
- ChatGPT: set it up at chatgpt.com in a web browser. If you don't see Plugins → Add custom MCP server, your ChatGPT plan doesn't include custom connectors.
- On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, or a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise plan, your account owner or admin may need to add it for the organisation first.
Connect it

- Copy your personal linkUse the Copy link button above.
- Open Connectors in ClaudeOn claude.ai or the desktop app, go to Customize → Connectors.
- Add a custom connectorClick + Add → Add custom connector. Name it Chef's Intelligence, paste your link into the URL box and click Continue.
- Choose no sign-inWhen asked about authentication, choose the no sign-in option. Don't add any headers or OAuth details. Your link already carries your licence. Click Continue, then Add.
- Switch it on in a chatStart a new chat, click + at the bottom left → Connectors, and make sure Chef's Intelligence is switched on. Then try a prompt from the next section.
- Send the link to your account ownerOnly an Owner or Primary Owner can add custom connectors for the organisation.
- Owner: add it for the organisationGo to Organization settings → Connectors → Add, hover over Custom and select Web. Name it Chef's Intelligence, paste the link and click Continue.
- Owner: choose no sign-inPick the no sign-in option, with no headers or OAuth details, then click Add.
- Each chef: connect itGo to Customize → Connectors, find Chef's Intelligence (usually marked Custom) and click Connect.
- Switch it on in a chatNew chat → + → Connectors → switch on Chef's Intelligence.
- Copy your personal linkUse the Copy link button above.
- Open Plugins in ChatGPTGo to chatgpt.com in a browser, open Plugins, then tap Add → Add custom MCP server.
- Name it and paste your linkName it Chef's Intelligence. Under Connection, keep Server URL selected and paste your link.
- Change Authentication to no authenticationChatGPT starts on OAuth and shows "Couldn't discover OAuth settings". Open the Authentication box and choose the no-authentication option. Leave every OAuth field empty. Your link already carries your licence.
- Confirm and createTick I understand and want to continue, then tap Create as a plugin. ChatGPT should list the Chef's Intelligence tools.
- Use it in a chatStart a new chat, add Chef's Intelligence to it, then try a prompt from the next section. If ChatGPT asks to use a Chef's Intelligence tool, allow it.
Claude and ChatGPT occasionally move these menus. If a button name doesn't match, see Anthropic's help article or OpenAI's help article.
Check it works
Copy this into a new chat with the connector switched on:
A pass looks like this: Claude or ChatGPT asks permission to use a Chef's Intelligence tool (allow it), then gives a food cost of about £1.36 and a minimum sell price of about £4.86 at 72% GP (food cost ÷ 0.28). Small rounding differences are fine.
Good first prompts
Start your message with "Use Chef's Intelligence to…" so Claude or ChatGPT reaches for the right tool. It will usually ask a question or two before it writes.
Find a skill
0 skills are in your connector right now. Open a zone or search, then tap a skill to copy a starter prompt.
Check before you use it
- Chef's Intelligence drafts the paperwork; you stay responsible for your kitchen. Read every document before it goes on the wall, to a guest or to an inspector.
- Allergens: check every allergen declaration against your actual ingredients and supplier specs. It can only work from what you tell it.
- HACCP and temperature logs are legal records. They come out blank for your team to fill in with real readings. Never let anyone fill them in after the fact.
- Costings use the prices you give it. Update them when your supplier prices change.
Your data
- Your chats stay in your own Claude or ChatGPT account, under that account's privacy settings.
- The connector sends Claude or ChatGPT the instructions for each skill. It doesn't receive your recipes, rotas or staff details; those stay in your own conversation.
- One link per kitchen. If your subscription ends, the link stops working.
Something not working?
It says it couldn't connect, or the connector shows an error
In ChatGPT, "Couldn't discover OAuth settings" is normal until you switch Authentication to the no-authentication option. Otherwise, check you pasted the whole link, starting https:// and ending with your key, with no space at the end. Choose the no sign-in (Claude) or no-authentication (ChatGPT) option. Then try again.
It answers but doesn't use Chef's Intelligence
In Claude, click + → Connectors in that chat and check it's switched on. In ChatGPT, check Chef's Intelligence is added to that chat. Start your message with "Use Chef's Intelligence to…". If it asks permission to use a tool, allow it.
It worked before but has stopped
Your free trial may have ended without a payment card on file, or your subscription may have been cancelled. Email fabian@axomaistudio.com and we'll check your account.
I can't see "Add custom connector" in Claude
On the Free plan you can only have one custom connector, so remove an unused one first. On Team or Enterprise, only your account owner can add it (use the Team tab above). Use claude.ai or the desktop app rather than the phone app.
I can't find Plugins or "Add custom MCP server" in ChatGPT
Use chatgpt.com in a web browser, not the ChatGPT app. If it still isn't there, your ChatGPT plan doesn't include custom connectors; Claude works on every plan, including Free.
How do I cancel, update my card or get an invoice?
Go to axomai.ai/account and enter the email you subscribed with. Stripe emails you a sign-in link. From there you can cancel (you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for), update your card, change your billing details and download invoices.
Can my whole team use it?
Your licence covers one kitchen. Chefs on a shared Claude or ChatGPT business plan can each use it once your owner or admin has added it. Need more kitchens? Email us.
